Safety in our arenas
Safety is a priority at all our arenas. Together with organizers, authorities, and other stakeholders in Gothenburg, we work to create a safe arena experience together.
In Sweden, it is the organizer of an event who is responsible for the safety of the audience during the event. Before the event, a special analysis and evaluation is made of what efforts need to be implemented to create a safe event. How and in what way the security work is set up depends partly on what type of event it is and partly on external factors.
The planning of the security work is led by the organizers together with the police and other authorities involved. The process starts early and takes place continuously until the event is carried out. Got Event, as an arena operator, participates as a party in the organizer’s security group.
In which way the organizer chooses to set up the security work is not communicated externally in case the information is used in the wrong way.

On November 1 2023, the Police Authority decided on a total ban on bags at major events. Read more about the bag ban at polisen.se.

Terrorist threat level raised to High
On Thursday, August 17th, 2023, the Swedish Security Service took the decision to raise the terrorist threat level from Elevated to High, after evaluating that the threat will continue for a long time.
The message from the police is that we should live as usual and do the things in everyday life that we usually do. However, it is good to be more vigilant, regardless of where you are. When visiting one of our arenas, you can always talk to a host or security guard if you are worried or experience something unusual.
