The men's national team faces France in the EHF Euro Cup
Sweden men’s national handball team will play their final home game of the season at Scandinavium, where they will face the European champions, France.
This match in Gothenburg is the fifth and last game of the EHF Euro Cup. The tournament features the teams that are directly qualified for the 2026 European Championship: host nations Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the reigning champions, France.
Historically, Sweden and France have faced each other 59 times, with Sweden leading 33–22 in head-to-head victories. Over the past four years, the teams have also clashed in four semifinals. Sweden reached the World Championship final in 2021 (silver) and the European Championship final in 2022 (gold), while France competed in the last three finals: the 2023 World Championship (silver), the 2024 European Championship (gold), and the 2024 Olympics (silver).
