Legendary Gipsy Kings take over the new Ullevi Plaza.
Flamenco, passion and global hits under the open sky – on July 25, Gipsy Kings take the stage at Göteborg’s new venue, Ullevi Plaza. A musical launch for the city’s new cultural meeting place.
On July 25, the night in Gothenburg turns into an unforgettable celebration as the iconic Gipsy Kings, led by the legendary Nicolas Reyes, arrive at Ullevi Plaza – the city’s new flexible event space just outside the classic Ullevi stadium. The band, which has topped charts worldwide with its unique blend of flamenco, salsa and pop, makes a long-awaited stop in Sweden as part of its summer tour.
With over 14 million albums sold and timeless hits like “Volare”, “Bamboleo”, “Un Amor” and “Djobi Djoba”, Gipsy Kings have, for more than four decades, been one of the most influential acts in world music.
— “Even though it’s been 40 years, we want to keep on making new music because it’s our life. It’s who we are. But I think there will be a time when we pass down the Gipsy Kings to our sons,” says Nicolas Reyes.
Welcome to Ullevi Plaza. Welcome to an unforgettable night with Gipsy Kings.
