Ullevi Plaza

The Wailers

Reggae legends The Wailers take over Ullevi Plaza this summer.

One of reggae history’s most iconic bands is coming to Gothenburg. On Friday 24 July, The Wailers take over Ullevi Plaza with their anniversary tour 50 Years of Positive Vibrations – a tribute to the album Rastaman Vibration and reggae’s timeless power. The evening opens with Syster Sol.

The Wailers are currently led by Aston Barrett Jr., son of legendary bassist Aston “Familyman” Barrett, carrying Bob Marley’s legacy forward with both authenticity and musical weight. With singer Mitchell Brunings on vocals, audiences can look forward to a summer night where classic roots reggae meets contemporary energy, with songs that deliver messages of community, hope, and positive change.

The evening opens with Syster Sol, one of Sweden’s strongest voices in reggae and soul. With her charismatic stage presence and personal style, she has become one of the country’s most beloved live acts, bringing the concert at Ullevi Plaza together as a powerful meeting between international reggae history and Gothenburg’s own energy.

See you at Ullevi Plaza!
