Arena facts

Valhallabadet is one of Scandinavia’s largest indoor swimming facilities, with about half a million visitors every year.

Many sports events are held at Valhallabadet each year, thanks to the facility’s large spectator capacity, pool length and diving height. Above all, Valhallabadet is a water oasis for residents of Gothenburg, a haven for bathing, recreation, exercise, wellness and beauty. The design is modern and fresh but also classic. The Valhallabadet swimming hall opened in 1956, and its authentic 1950s style has been carefully preserved during subsequent renovations.
