Big matches belong at Ullevi

This summer, Gothenburg invites you to a grand public celebration during the FIFA World Cup! We’re opening Ullevi Plaza and Ullevi to broadcast Sweden’s matches and the big final on giant screens. Expect an atmosphere like no other. We follow the matches together. Celebrate every goal a little louder. Feel every moment a little stronger.

From June 11 to July 19, the FIFA World Cup will be played in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Fans around the world will gather to follow the drama—and in Gothenburg, we’ll experience it together at Ullevi Plaza and Ullevi. In addition to giant-screen broadcasts, there will be entertainment, activities, as well as food and beverage. With free entry, a World Cup celebration awaits all of Gothenburg and anyone who wants to share the thrill of the tournament together.

Matches shown at Ullevi

  • Saturday, 20 June, 19:00 – Netherlands vs Sweden.
  • Sunday, 19 July, 21:00 – Final.

The matches will also be shown on the giant screen at Ullevi Plaza, just outside the arena. There, we will also show:

  • Monday, 15 June, 04:00 – Sweden vs Tunisia
  • Friday, 26 June, 01:00 – Japan vs Sweden

Depending on Sweden’s performance in the group stage, additional matches may be added.

The area opens two hours before kick-off.

Find the arena

We encourage you to cycle, walk, or use public transport to get to the arena. The closest stops are Ullevi Södra and Ullevi Norra. Find the best route using Västtrafik’s travel planner. You can also make use of the city bike service, Styr & Ställ.

Bags and other items

Please note that there is no total bag ban; however, bags larger than 40 × 40 × 20 cm are not permitted inside the arena. We recommend bringing only essential items to ensure a smooth entry.

Please also note that umbrellas, regardless of size, and bicycle batteries are not permitted inside the arena.
