Gothia Cup kicks off with a joyful show at Ullevi
In July, the world's largest youth football tournament, Gothia Cup, returns to Gothenburg. The tournament kicks off with a grand opening filled with joy.
The week is filled with encounters, big and small, arranged and spontaneous. The opening ceremony is the week’s major gathering. At this moment, participants from all corners of the world come together to experience abundant joy alongside coaches, supporters, and the fantastic audience. The opening ceremony is packed with music, dance, and fireworks, creating a lasting memory for life.

Good to know
Total ban of bags
The Swedish police authorities has decided on a total ban of bags for bigger events, this also applies to this event. The purpose of the ban is to increase the security of the events.
For a safer event
Be there in good time and be prepared that you may be searched. It is not permitted to bring umbrellas, bicycle batteries, camera and video equipment and food or drinks into the arena. However, empty soft water bottles for refills are allowed.

Time schedule
About 19:00 The arena opens.
20:00 The opening ceremony starts.
Tickets
All participants registered in categories A, B or C receives a ticket to the Gothia Opening Ceremony. A ticket is also included when you purchase the Gothia Card. Please note that the tickets are limited and only included if we have left. You need a physical ticket. The Gothia Card is not valid as a ticket.
Tickets can also be purchased via ticketmaster.se.
Visitors under 4 years of age can sit in their parents lap.

Get to the arena
We encourage you to take your bike, walk or take the public transport to the arena. The nearest stops are called Ullevi Södra and Ullevi Norra. Find the best route with the help of Västtrafik Travel Planner. U can also use a rental bike from Styr & Ställ.
Wheelchair seats and accessibility
Entrance via entrance 9 with seating in section U.
Amplified arena sound
Via the app Got Event Accessibility, you can get amplified arena sound (hearing loop). Download the latest version of the app via App Store or Google Play. Also remember to bring headphones and a fully charged phone.
Food and drinks
Note that you may not bring your own food or drink into the arena.
